Brian McKnight Concert in Cebu

March 17 was a night full of  music, entertainment, charity, heart, and of course, fun as Brian McKnight dominated Cebu in his solo concert.
It was not as romantic as expected; it was rather a night full of laughter and singing. Indeed, a different experience he brought for Cebuanos.
It was a one-man show that lasted for 2 hours - no Segway, no special guest, no intermission as he started to appear on stage - It was just pure Brian.

As he’s doing his thing on stage, you would really know how talented he is- a singer, a musician, and a song writer. And, while you watch him perform and listen to his music, at the back of your mind, you really can’t avoid yourself getting a lil’ envy and wish to have his talents (You can’t blame yourself of thinking that way).

The entire show was worth the price as I really got to enjoy each and every song he rendered. I found no dull moment at all as he puts humor to every song which also made him carry the crowd so well.
You wouldn’t even notice that he has been singing for 2 hours. We’re like hypnotized by his songs and charmed by his powerful-romantic-sweet voice. The crowd can’t stop in joining the singing especially when he played his popular songs like, one last cry, back at one, 6,8,12 and a lot more.  I got so entertained when he did the spoof, imitating some of his fellow black artists like, Stevie Wonder, Michael Osborne, Michael Jackson and James Ingram.

The funniest part of the concert was his last song especially when he started doing the dougie.
He looks pretty disgusting with it prolly because his outfit is way too formal for the dougie move… or, I don’t know. Haha. One thing’s for sure, I enjoyed watching him trying to swagg to the best that he can.  Even the crowd had gone crazy and screamed for more dougie from him.

The show ended up with some more of his songs as the audience cried for pretty more of it.  I was so amazed when he went back to the stage and slapped the crowd with 2 more songs. Glad that he’s not a Grinch and spoil our happy hearts. That was so humble of him! And, thanks to his additional songs, I got the chance to go in front (like, 5 steps away from him, really that close) to take photos and made me completely happy for it is another tremendous experience that I, for sure will treasure ‘til the end of time.
