“Dreams do come true”! This is what Anne Curtis is trying to
spread to each one of us. It’s never wrong to dream big as long as you hold,
live, and believe in it.
She’s not the best singer in the Philippine music industry (we
all know that) but look how she dared to invade Cebu and capture the hearts of the
“hard to please” Cebuanos and filled the Waterfront as she rocks the stage
during her Annebisyosa provincial concert tour last March 23, 2012.
Sometimes, it’s not all about pure talent; it’s about guts
and more guts and loads of those to make your dreams come true. And of course,
beauty if you have it – it’s a lil’ plus point.
I overheard a couple
(around 40 plus) seating at the back exchanging conversations in cebuano:
Boy: (laughing)” Yabag jud kaayo mo kanta. Wa
jud na tono”. (referring to Anne so out of tune while singing)
Girl: “Bahala nag yabag bsta ang beauty, murag dyosa”. (It
doesn’t matter (referring to Anne’s voice) as long her beauty is a goddess-like)
Boy: “Mao”! (sign that he agrees)
I just smiled while hearing their conversation as my way of
agreement.
There may be some other artists who get pretty jealous about the achievement of this ” Annebisyosa” girl is getting, but what they can do further is raise their eyebrows higher and end up being bitter while this new Concert Sweetheart continues to shine and soar!
